For several years, Thomas Mailaender has been collecting vernacular images on the Internet that are doomed to disappear. Guided by a keen sense of the absurd and the grotesque, the photographer stores, classifies and finally diverts these images thanks to different interventions: enlargement, editing, inlay of material, drawing on print, dialogues with other images... A strange collection of the present time which leaves no one indifferent. Philippe Azoury accompanies this photographic opus with an essay on the life of images on the Internet and social networks.
