Elsa & Johanna is a creative duo formed by photographers, visual artists and directors Elsa Parra and Johanna Benaïnous. Alternating in turn the roles of model and photographer, they portray themselves in enigmatic and disturbing autofictions. Each series allows them to question the place of the couple, but also to explore the different social assignments produced by a territory. An approach which leads them to blend into the landscape all over the world, in the United States, Canada, Germany… The novelist Fanny Taillandier lends a powerful collective voice to these multiple images.
